A Chic and Elegant Brookgreen Gardens Wedding

The Couple

It all started back in 2007 during Sarah and Scott's freshman year of college. Scott was visiting friends in Athens when he was first introduced to Sarah outside of her dorm. With that charming smile, he looked right in her eyes, shook her hand firmly and said, "Scott Curtiss. Nice to meet ya." Little did they know that this encounter would lead to a lifelong connection.

By 2009, Sarah had joined Scott's ATL crew, and they spent the next few years hanging out in Athens and Atlanta, taking road trips, going to music festivals, and ringing in the new year in various cities. Over the years, they built a deep friendship and navigated the ups and downs of life together.

Everything changed in 2020 when Scott and Sarah were invited to a friend's birthday celebration in Moab, Utah. The weekend had many highlights, including Scott finally asking Sarah to be his girlfriend.

On Mother's Day weekend in 2023, Scott and Sarah visited Highlands, North Carolina. On top of Whiteside Mountain, Scott got down on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him.

The Wedding

Ceremony

Sarah and Scott exchanged vows at Brookgreen Gardens on the Mother’s Day weekend in May, a year later after their engagement. Surrounded by their loved ones and the timeless beauty of the Live Oak Allee, they officially became husband and wife beneath the ancient oak trees.

Cocktail Hour

Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a lively cocktail hour at Diana Pool. They enjoyed the stunning garden, amazing music, and delicious appetizers by Inlet Affairs.

Celebration

The evening continued at the Leonard Pavilion, which was transformed into a floral wonderland by Willow Events. With twinkling disco balls overhead, Sarah and Scott’s dream of a music festival-inspired wedding came to life. After dinner, the celebration turned into a fun dance party, with everyone dancing under the disco lights.
