Southern elegance Wedding at Wachesaw | Taylor + Mike

How they met: Taylor met Mike while she was apartment hunting with a girlfriend in Charleston, South Carolina. Little did she know, she had someone she “had to meet”. That's where Mike came into the picture. Mike was supposed to meet them in Charleston with other friends but he got called into work and wasn’t able to make it and they all ended up getting breakfast in Myrtle Beach. Taylor knew they clicked when he ordered sweet potato pancakes and asked if she wanted a bite. That's pretty much when she thought, "Okay, this could be something."

Venue: The couple decided on Wachesaw in Murrells Inlet,  because they immediately fell in love with the southern charm, elegance and beauty the property had to offer. Taylor and Mike wanted their out of town guests to have a true Lowcountry experience.

As for the inspiration for the overall aesthetic of the wedding, the bride was drawn to soft hues, delicate lighting, and plenty of florals. She incorporated watercolor into her handmade invitation suite and other stationery items. The couple decided on a romantic garden palette with blush and taupe as the accent color. Bridesmaids picked their own dresses in varying styles. The charming reception featured a simple white tablespace with plenty of florals and pop of color with taupe taper candles and gold accents.
